Houston International Trade Development Council Names Maliha Mian, JD New VP

The Houston International Trade Development Council (HITDC) is excited to announce Maliha Mian, JD as Vice President-Elect for 2019. Maliha will Chair HITDC’s Membership Division, as well as develop new and progressive international initiatives.

As Managing Member of Mian & Associates Law Firm PLLC, Maliha provides legal counseling for companies and individuals in the following legal practice areas: business transactions, entertainment transactions, government contracts, immigration, wills & trusts, and family law. Maliha further provides In-House Counsel services, a unique service tailored to small and medium-sized businesses to help plan and protect for their success.

Maliha was honored to be recognized as Houston Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 Honoree this year. Maliha’s additional accomplishments include the following:selected to work on a case at the U.N. International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (the “ICTY”), managed countless litigation, developed an EB-5 Regional Center, and more.

Maliha is experienced in handling immigration matters from visas to family-based & employment-based green cards to naturalization. She has counseled project developers and foreign investors regarding the EB-5 path for lawful permanent residency and has helped small businesses secure government projects. Maliha earned her BBA degree at the University of Houston, December 2002 and her Doctor of Jurisprudence at South Texas College of Law, July 2007.
